Ok, by that I just mean we earned a mention on Bleeding Cool— thanks to AJ for the tip off. We’re about midway down the pike, look for ole, pink haired, Zaranna.
Love for sale—

So the big announcement, if you want to call it that, is that this year’s Team Cul de Sac:Drink n Draw at HeroesCon (which benefits the Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s reasearch) will be the rare opportunity to purchase one of my original covers. Not just any cover though, this will be the inked, original artwork to issue #200 of GI Joe:Real American Hero. Here’s the kicker, it’s signed by Larry Hama himself! Additionally, Larry has recreated the sketch cover that he did for issue #200, and has signed copies of the landmark issue, all to be auctioned off!
So come out to Heroes Con Charlotte this Father’s Day weekend (June 20-22), and stay a little later into the evening to hear live music, and bid on some fantastic artwork donated by your favorite comic artists— and even some by me, all the for the great cause of stopping Parkinson’s!
Join us, as we do something good in honor of Richard Thompson— a great talent, friend, and drinking buddy.
UPDATE: My bad, it was late, I was tired when I wrote this post, here is the actual art I’ll be auctioning- the INKED version.
Awesome Con is Easter Weekend in DC!
April 15, 2014
Hey gang,
As you make your plans for the holiday weekend, keep in mind, the rabbit doesn’t come out until Sunday. Sure, Friday is your last chance to chow down on that Catholic “vegetable” combo of fish-n-chips, but what else is there to look forward to this weekend?
AWESOME CON of course!
Not only will Billie Piper of Doctor Who, and Danai Gurira of the Walking Dead be there, but (especially for guys my age) the most important is that Erin Gray of Buck Rogers will be there! Two words… hubbah, hubbah!
But if that’s not enough to get your attention, then come by the show and wander about until you find me. I’ll be sitting there staring at the walls with books to sell, sketches to do (hopefully), and authorized nerd confab. You’ll also find Steve Conley selling his great comic Bloop, Carolyn Belefski selling her strip Curls, and the great cartoonist Steve Artley— come on, he’s got “art” in his name… what more do you need?
